This series just keeps getting better and better. So much I want to say but refuse to as I won’t spoil it for future readers. Mercy & Adam, I can’t get enough of these two! The series itself is very creative, and this book is no different. It definitely does not disappoint. I have only one bad thing to say, WHAT A CLIFF HANGER!!!!! I guess that’s a good thing as it makes me want to dive into the next one, but as I finished the book last night I had a few choice words when I didn’t find out all I wanted to know. I really love Lisa's book - another fine tome here with great and likable characters all in a fine setting with a good dose of mystery. There are some similarities to other 'academy' style novels, however, I don't feel that this detracts from the value of the essential tale.
I could not put the books down once I started reading!! Ohh the cliff hangers....I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I was thinkful that I was able to read the first three books back to back. The suspense to see what happens with Ben, will he be ok?, and what about Mercy while Adam is away again, for good this time??? (I sure hope not), there was also Parkers proposal? I also have to add, what will happen with Sam and Daphne?, oh my, do I need to say more.
Soooooo tired of Adam running away, always trying to do the "right" thing by LEAVING Mercy, while saying that the only thing he wants to do is be with her... blah. Lots of everyone "rolling their eyes." Lots of the same thing over and over again. Mercy USES her friends constantly. They do whatever she asks but she seems to think about them only as afterthoughts. She doesn't want them to get hurt but she puts them in harms way all the time. She has three men in love with her (one is totally insane from being possessed by a demon for too long), but she never really ends things with any of them. She keeps using them, stringing them along, then she frets because she can't understand why they won't go away or "understand" how she actually feels about them. How dumb and thoughtless IS this woman? The first book was interesting, the second one got repetitive, now it's just boring and really, really stupid (I skipped a lot in this one). How long will her friends put up with HER problems? How selfish can she become? Finished with this series for sure. Adam can sulk for eternity or longer. Mercy can mope, complain and use as many people as she likes as her PROBLEMS continue to grow/mount...don't care...blah again. I'm gone.
Seriously what can I say?? Amazing book from an amazing author! All her book to date have been equally amazing. Great storyline the characters are so loveable except maybe Ben at the moment... And Adam.
Looking forward to the next book!!
I loved this book, and this series. The plot twists just keep coming! The writer really paints the characters, and it is so very easy to get all too wrapped up in these books. I can't wait to see what happens next in the series.
I enjoy paranormal romance novels, and this one (and the entire series) do not disappoint. The characters have depth to them, and the plot is well thought out. I really can't recommend this book enough to those who enjoy this genre. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books by this author!
I highly recommend this series. I think it is a well written and exciting book and series. You won't be able to put it down, especially the last emotionally gut-wrenching book. Mercy is a strong, driven character and excellent role model for all women. I couldn't stop reading this book and the others and ended up reading them almost one a day. Highly stimulating, you'll be up all night reading!
I'm hooked on this series and I'm now reading number 4 of the series. Believe it's kept me waiting for the next book to unfold. Don't know what I'll do when I finish number four as I don't know yet if the story ends here or there will be another sequel. Well done, a few misspellings (which I detest) but must admit the story in itself holds my interest no matter what. It's been a long time since I've really had trouble putting down a series like this one. Funny, yet a great story that I am definitely hooked on. It kind of reminds me of Karen Moning's Fever series but not quite as graphic and a bit "cleaner." Probably why I enjoy this one so much.
